Honestly, Blessed
Honestly, guys, I just feel so blessed. I truly cannot get over how blessed me and my family are!! We have everything that we could possibly need, and God is providing our wants as well.
I'm not going to lie things haven't been super easy as of late. All three of us have been sick. We endured my daughter's seizure - that was downright scary. This still haunts me. And yes, as a mom it's really hard to sleep through my daughter's thick, mucus-y coughing. Third trimester insomnia hasn't made life a walk in the park either, but through it all God has been good!!
“Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.” 1Samuel 12:24
This is our family's verse. Some families have a motto - we have a verse. We really couldn't have chosen a better verse for our family. We truly just trust in Him, and He performs great and mighty things for us. He really has spoiled us. We are ever careful that His special treatment doesn't go to our heads though. We don't want pride's fall to cause us to miss out on His plans for us.
That's really the key I think. Staying humble and being so SO grateful for God's blessings. I believe this is the way to be truly happy. The enduring joy that everyone is looking for in all of the adventures/riches/experiences this generation has to offer through travel, people, and stuff. This joy can only be found when we let go of what we think we want and sit back in God's peace and will for our lives. Following His leading will provide all of our needs and even fulfill our dreams better than we could have imagined. He may even bring about dreams we didn't even know we had. He has for our family. :)
Monday Motivation: Enjoy God. Enjoy what He's doing in your life. Look around you, and “consider how great things he hath done for you.” God loves you and wants to shower blessings on you even more than your father would want to. He's infinitely richer than your dad, too, so He can!! (He even knows you better, so He can fulfill your desires even better than you can.)
I challenge you to ask God to fulfill your desires and not ask for something specific. Instead, ask Him to surprise you. I've done it quite a few times now, and He has come through for me perfectly every time. ❤️
As always, thanks for reading!!
